La agrupación estadounidense The Mars Volta, cuyos fundadores son de origen latino, ha confirmado que el 28 de enero del 2008 lanzará al mercado su cuarto álbum grabado en estudio, el cual llevará por tÃtulo “The Bedlam In Goliath†(GSL/Universal). El álbum fue producido por el propio Omar RodrÃguez López y está compuesto por los siguientes temas:

03. Ilyena
04. Wax Simulacra
05. Goliath
06. Tourniquet Man
07. Cavalettas
08. Agadez
09. Askepios
10. Ouroboros
11. Soothsayer
12. Conjugal Burns
El lanzamiento de “The Bedlam In Goliath†será precedido por una presentación/fiesta la noche de año nuevo, el evento se realizará en el Bill Graham Civic Auditorium de San Francisco. La banda promete “una serata con amici e sorprese presentata in un modo straordinarioâ€. Quienes piensen asistir deben ir disfrazados.
Adicionalmente se anuncia que un video casero, en el cual se puede escuchar el tema “Wax Simulacraâ€, está ahora disponible en el siguiente aqui o en youtube.com
Otros sucesos tendrán lugar antes del lanzamiento oficial del disco.
The Mars Volta fue fundado en el 2001 por Cedric Bixler Zavala, de origen mexicano, y Omar RodrÃguez López, de origen puertorriqueño. Los discos anteriores de la banda son “De-Loused In The Comatoriumâ€, (2003); “Frances The Mute†(2005) y “Amputechtureâ€, lanzado en el 2006. Para el nuevo disco regresan a la banda los músicos Marcel RodrÃguez López, Adrián Terrazas Gonzáles, Pablo Hinojos- Gonzáles, Isaiah Ikey Owens, Juan Alderete de la Peña, y se une el nuevo baterista Thomas Pridgen y el integrante de Red Hot Chili Pepper, y frecuente colaborador de The Mars Volta, John Frusciante.

The Mars Volta has confirmed a January 29, 2008 release for its fourth studio album, The Bedlam In Goliath (GSL/Universal). The album was produced by the band’s own Omar Rodriguez Lopez and is comprised of the following tracks:

The Bedlam In Goliath’s release will be preceded by a one-off New Year’s Eve extravaganza at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The band promises “una serata con amici e sorprese presentata in un modo straordinario.†Attendees should note that costumes are required.
Additionally, a homemade video “webisode†set to the track “Wax Simulacra†is online now here. Further installments may surface prior to the album’s release.
The Mars Volta was founded in 2001 by Cedric Bixler Zavala and Omar Rodriguez Lopez. The band’s previous recorded output has included its 2003 debut De-Loused In The Comatorium, 2005’s Frances The Mute and last year’s Amputechture. The Bedlam In Goliath finds Bixler Zavala and Rodriguez Lopez joined by returning members Marcel Rodriguez Lopez, Adrian Terrazas Gonzales, Pablo Hinojos- Gonzales, Isaiah Ikey Owens, Juan Alderete de la Pena, new drummer Thomas Pridgen and full-time Red Hot Chili Pepper and frequent Volta collaborator John Frusciante.
