October 2006 marks the 10th anniversary of the ground breaking Los Angeles night club Das Bunker, and the celebration of their decade of existence will commence Friday October 13 with live performances by VNV Nation & W.A.S.T.E.
No band has shaped the course of industrial music over the last 10 years in the way VNV Nation has, so it?s only fitting that the band will be performing for the first time a special ?old school set? for the celebration.
?As it’s their 10th Anniversary, we felt it only fair to give the show a bit of a twist. We’ve decided to do a strictly “classic” concert which means we’ll only be playing songs from “Advance and Follow”, “Praise and Fallen” and from the “Empires / Burning Empires” era. There’ll be a lot of songs that haven’t been played in years as well as a few other surprises. There will also be special merchandise available to mark the event. All in all, this is definitely going to be a special evening. This is the same club that started spinning tracks from our “Advance and Follow” album 10 years ago and helped us get a start in North America so we’re very happy to be a part of their birthday celebrations.? said Ronan Harris, lead Singer/Programmer in a statement posted to the bands website.
Also performing this evening will be Los Angeles based powernosie duo W.A.S.T.E., who will be using this show as a springboard for their first US tour this fall. W.A.S.T.E. played their first show ever at Das Bunker in 2003, so it is especially memorable that they can return for such a special evening.
In addition to the once in a lifetime live performances, this event will also feature many surprise guest appearances, celebrity DJ?s, giveaways, drink specials, and the world famous Franck H-Bomb Rum Cake!
