OC Film Fiesta Returns to Santa Ana With Movies, Stars, 1920s Car Show and Zorro Tribute

Free Festival Celebrating Santa Ana’s History and Latino Heritage Runs Sept. 3-18

You are invited to a cinematic celebration of Santa Ana’s Latino heritage and OC’s cultural diversity as part of the 2nd OC Film Fiesta in Santa Ana.  Please join us at 7:30 pm on Sat., Sept. 3 to kick off the festival with a special screening under the stars of the Douglas Fairbanks silent classic The Mark of Zorro
at Sycamore and Civic Center in downtown Santa Ana with a vintage 1920s car show and Roaring ‘20s music.

Also, help us welcome Special Guest Stars Hector Jimenez (Esqueleto from Nacho Libre), Olga Segura and director Jesse Baget at a red carpet screening of the new comedy White Knight at the Yost.

We are excited about this year’s festival, and I wanted to share some of the highlights with you, which include:

·      Unleash your inner Zorro at our special tribute to OC’s own international ambassador of swashbuckling with screenings of classic Zorro films starring Douglas Fairbanks and Tyrone Power!

·      Meet special guest stars Hector Jimenez (Esqueleto from Nacho Libre), Olga Segura and director Jesse Baget in person at a red carpet screening of White Knight on Sat., Sept. 17 at 8pm at the Yost Theater.

·      See great Latino documentaries, including John J. Valadez’s The Longoria Affair, Ray Telles’ The Storm That Swept Mexico, Harlistas and Anayansi Prado’s Paraiso for Sale.

·      Enjoy screenings of classic films, including the Mexican Golden age movie Bugambilia starring Dolores del Rio and Pedro Armendariz and John Ford’s The Fugitive, starring del Rio, Armendariz and Henry Fonda.

All films are free and open to the public and will take place at the historic Yost Theater, Original Mike’s, Calacas, Santa Ana Library and Santa Ana Senior Center.  Bring your whole family!
