Mushroomhead US Tour

“Visionary and groundbreaking, Mushroomhead remain an original.” — Kerrang
Megaforce Records announces the September 19th release of Mushroomhead album Savior Sorrow. The visionary masked band combines theatrics with a mixture of rock, metal and atmospheric elements. The band will begin a world tour in September.
The first single hit commercial alternative, rock and active rock radio formats in early August, and continues to climb the commercial rock charts jumping to # 41 on R & R Chart this week. CD was just released September 19!
– 25 rock stations spinning single “Simple Survival”
– #48 to #41 this week on R & R Rock Chart
Savior Sorrow is a diverse effort featuring epic rock, vicious hardcore, and ethereal elements. It also marks the first studio appearance of co-singer Waylon, who replaced the departed J-Mann. ?Waylon brings a new dimension to the band. Not only a great frontman, but he can also scream and sing like a chameleon, changing vocal quality to adapt to the true nature of each song. His versatility is remarkable,? comments drummer and producer Skinny.
Mushroomhead’s accomplishments in the music world are as stellar and intense as their performances. Praised for being original, Mushroomhead are innovators in the rock and metal worlds. And now, Savior Sorrow, will continue Mushroomhead?s evolution as one of the most original bands working today.
After forming in Cleveland in the mid-90’s, Mushroomhead became one of the most sought-after live bands garnering respect from peers for their uncompromising sound and stunning theatre-driven shows. Savior Sorrow was recorded and mixed at Filthy Hands Studio in Cleveland with additional mixing at Mars Studio, also in Cleveland. Mushroomhead have sold more than 1,000,000 CD’s around the world.
The band’s first 50,000 copies of their new album Savior Sorrow are available as a limited edition “3-D” version. Their prior album, XIII, entered the Billboard chart at # 40 and sold 200,000 in the USA and 400,000 worldwide.
The band recently debuted its first single “Simple Survival” on several stations across the USA. At KRQR, it was a “David and Goliath” story of arguably the biggest commercial rock band in the USA going up against an arsty metal band. Mushroomhead’s “Simple Survival” went up against Evanescence’s “Call Me When You’re Sober” on KRQR’s “Cockfight” on August 24, which left Mushroomhead the clear winner and champ.
“It feels really good this time around. Radio seems to really dig it. And it’s a new chapter in our evolution. There are sounds on this album that sound so melodic, yet brutal and huge. The album is quite diverse, yet retains a Mushroomhead dynamic,” says drummer Skinny.
Savior Sorrow was produced by Steve Felton and Mushroomhead at Cleveland’s Filthy Hands Studios in April 2006. The visionary masked band combines theatrics with a mixture of rock, metal and atmospheric elements
