From the crisp winter air of 2010 rises Lower Lands; a young Alternative Rock band who are gunning for success. In the short time been a band, they’ve found themselves playing alongside bands such as Iron Chic, Crazy Arm, Shapes and Deaf Havana.
Not only have they been making waves on the live circuit, but their songs have been showcased across national radio stations like Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing and the lads found themselves being championed by Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker.
Since meeting at college, the boys have celebrated the ups and endured the many downs of life in a band and have come out the other end wiser, more confident and with even greater ambitions. Their highly anticipated EP ‘Growing Pains’ is out in May following the great reception of their single ‘Reality in Routine’. As more and more people around the globe find themselves enthralled
with these four guys from a small English city, it’s only a matter of time until this
winter chill becomes a blizzard.
Lower Lands have taken that strong, confident punk vibe and thrown in better vocals, better riffs and better lyrics. Immediately after listening it is blindingly obvious that these boys have talent.” – Hevypetal
“The key to Lower Lands’ appeal is that even though there is harsh, singing over music that blends punk, hardcore, metal and alternative rock there are also elements of pop in the choruses and the vocal harmonies that gives [them] an accessibility that a lot of alternative bands don’t have.” – Rockpulse
“Lower Lands are reminiscent of a younger Blakfish…” – Musical Mathematics
“As seen and heard in [their video/single], it’s obvious that the lads from Lower Lands have already endured those growth pains and are now reaping the benefits.” – BlogSoup
“I had the opportunity to see these lads play at Crash Doubt Fest and they’re absolutely fantastic, they’ve come on leaps and bounds in the past year. I definitely think they’re going to be a band to look out for in the years to come.” – Andrew Waterfield, Punknews
